I'm a big fan of anything with the word 'Hockey', Ice Hockey, Field Hockey, and most importantly, Underwater Hockey. If you're thinking "What the heck is that?" I'd love to enlighten you.
I am also a proud mother to a rescue kitty named Cheese. As you can tell, I'm a cheese fanatic (both the cat and food).
Where I come from
A flighted kiwi who has set up her nest in the land up over (Australia).
When I moved to Melbourne, I was working in Banking and Finance for a few years before I shifted my focus towards a change in my career to specialise in UX/UI. Safe to say, it was one of the best decisions I've made thus far.
Just want to say, thanks Aussie for having me here and providing endless opportunities I could ever imagine.
Why UX?
Growing up, I've always seen myself as a technical yet creative person. Throughout my professional career, I constantly found myself helping co-workers who were experiencing software issues or required assistance navigating around a new product.
Since I’ve always been a people person, I find it very rewarding knowing that my assistance goes appreciated or is permanently effective for the greater good.
From my background in Banking and Finance, I have been exposed to vulnerable clients experiencing changes to their banking platform. I would be their direct contact if they required support which allowed my empathetic personality to shine.
Motion Design opened so many doors to creative skills and I wanted to regain my interest in design in a more methodological perspective while collaborating with stakeholders.
